Challenge

The challenge was to transform an underused railway station into a destination that could support Cowra’s tourism, economy, and community without losing its regional character. The concept needed to feel realistic, scalable, and respectful of the town’s identity while giving the site a clear new purpose.

Solution

We developed a winery-led concept that combined branding, spatial thinking, and user experience to create a calm, inviting destination rooted in regional culture. Strong visual identity, considered wayfinding, and supporting digital touchpoints were designed to enhance visitor experience while reinforcing Cowra’s sense of place.

Results

The final outcome was a cohesive, well-resolved concept that brought together branding, architecture, and user experience into a clear vision for the site. The project demonstrated how strategic design could reframe an existing regional asset into a destination that supports tourism, community engagement, and local identity, while reflecting an industry-style, iterative design process.
